NOVEMBER 17, 2018
Director Tommy Crutchfield called the meeting to order at 9:30 am.

Sharon Bundy gave the invocation and Wayne McGee led us in the Pledge of Allegiance.  Sharon also
read the Good Sam Pledge.

PARLIAMENTARIAN - Robin Murray asked if everyone had checked in with the secretary and received
their red card.  He then described the meeting procedure and asked everyone to raise the red card to
be recognized to speak, wait for the microphone and give their name and chapter before speaking.  
Please return the red cards after the meeting.

Secretary Mary Murray did roll call, with 33 chapters or representatives in attendance.  Mary then
advised Director Crutchfield that we do have a quorum.

Mr. Crutchfield asked for the reading of the minutes of the last meeting.  Tressa Dishman of Getaway
Sams made a motion to accept the minutes as printed.  The motion was seconded and carried.
Motion carried.

TREASURER - Linda Voyton said she had handed out copies of the treasurer’s report before the
meeting and asked if there were any questions.  Tressa Dishman of Getaway Sams made a motion to
accept the report as printed and Jackie Fields of Manateean Sams seconded the motion.  Motion carried.


LEGISLATION - Sharon Bundy spoke about the Florida aquifer from the Keystone Heights area down to
the Ocala area.   See attached

STATE STORE - Tom Booth said everything is going very well. They have less items available and are
limited on color and size.  They will be open until 11 AM.

DOGS FOR BETTER LIVES - Joan Conway said they had 15 entrants in the dog costume parade and
received $653.00 in donations.  She said she has forms to fill out for all those who will be making
donations tonight and she will also be accepting donations for Joe and Debbie Weston.  Joan said she
and Bill are having some issues and will no longer be able to take part in the chapter or dogs.  Vickie
Porter will be taking over the dogs.

WEBMASTER - Jill Campbell reminded everyone that rosters are due this month.  Dues are $2.00 per
rig.  Send roster and check to Linda Voyton.  She said to be sure to send her your slate of new officers,
specifically the president.  She will send out an email to ask you to check the website and confirm your
information.  PLEASE get back to her with changes or corrections. If information is correct, please send
her an email to confirm.
Newsletters - Jill said please send newsletters to her and she will put it on the website so that others can
see what your chapter is doing.  Send to  Jill said she is
constantly making changes to the webpage.  She said to keep making memories.

EMERGENCY RESPONSE - Lois said Brian was taken to the hospital today and given blood.  He is
expected back tomorrow.  We have a backup nurse so if you need anything, call.

BOGGY CREEK - Peggy Brown said they had 40 people Thursday and Friday on the tour to Boggy
Creek.  Something is new every time they go.  It is a spectacular place.  They are grateful for all
donations.  They will email how much each chapter brought in after January.

WAGONMASTER - Wayne McGee said everything is fine.  They had two (2) problems they were able to
worked out.   They parked a total of 363 rigs.

OLD BUSINESS - Tommy said Linda Voyton will be your State Treasurer for 2019 and 2020 and Tommy
and Lois Crutchfield will be your State Directors for 2019 and 2020.

NEW BUSINESS - Tommy said we have a contract with Southern Palms in Eustis for 2019 and 2020.  He
also urged all presidents to carry applications for the next campout at all times.

BUDGET - Tommy said everyone was given copies of the budget.  Everything is the same.  He asked for
discussion and there was none.  Tressa Dishman of N. FL. Lifetime Sams made a motion to accept and
David Koontz of Florida Hi-Lofers seconded the motion.  Motion carried.

Mr. Crutchfield said the next rally will be at the KOA in Okeechobee starting May 1, 2019.

FACEBOOK - Jill Campbell said there is now a Facebook for Florida Good Sams.  It is called Florida
Good Sams friends. You need to request to be a member and there will be questions of what you like
about camping.  People will enjoy hearing what your chapter is doing and seeing chapter photos.
Promote your chapter.

Ray White of Sunstate Sams said he had a couple of complaints:  The grass was too high and there was
no handle on the water.  Tommy said he is addressing the issue and was surprised to hear of this
situation.  They are under new management.

John Touchton of Florida at Large made a motion to adjourn. David Koontz of Florida Hi-Lofers
seconded the motion.  Meeting adjourned at 10:10 AM.
